In this podcast, I’d like to introduce you to Peter Thomson, my first yoga teacher. I started yoga with him way back in the 1980s. If not for him, I would not be a yoga teacher today. Peter sees yoga as a way of understanding life, as a meditative activity and training. He talked about […]
Pixie Lillas has been a shining light in the Iyengar Yoga world for almost 40 years. She is well known for her commitment to her practice and her ongoing support for younger teachers through her teacher training and the Iyengar Yoga assessments. Patanjali wrote about this phenomenon thousands of year ago in the yoga sutras, short aphorisms describing the yogic path. Sutra 1.2 yogah cittavritti nirodhah is […]
We have had some great reviews for the Yoga Nook DVD, if you can’t always make it to class and need a flexible option to learn and practice yoga, this could be a good choice for you. The Yoga Nook DVD has definitely enhanced my yoga practice. It has provided that extra spurt of motivation […]
Tyraman Retreat Australia Day Weekend January 2014 I had only been participating in yoga for about four months when the invite to a retreat in the Hunter Region of NSW came on offer. At first, I was a little reluctant to go. Life was busy and my confidence in doing the poses (asanas) was a […]
