All classes are taught by skilled and dedicated practitioners, and there is a high level of support from all teachers. Our teachers are highly qualified, and have passed a rigorous assessment process and continue their study with senior Australian teachers and by returning to the Iyengar Institute in Pune, India to attend classes and conventions, or are in training.
Jo Seymour is a longtime student of Iyengar yoga under Linda Apps. She began teacher training with Linda in early 2017, and has been teaching adults’ and children’s classes at the Yoga Nook since mid-2017. She is also a mother of three, works as a digital journalist and has post-graduate qualifications in adult education and training.
Andrew first stepped onto a yoga mat in 2000 as part of his acrobatic training where yoga was used as a warm up. He has been a student at The Yoga Nook for several years prior to beginning teacher training with Linda Apps in 2017. He has travelled to India and studied at the Iyengar Institute, an experience he describes as simultaneously challenging and illuminating. Andrew works in IT and has keen interests in theatre and family history.

Michelle Reedy has been a student of Iyengar yoga for 12 years. Recently Michelle completed her Iyengar yoga teacher training under the guidance of Iyengar JI3 teacher, Linda Apps. Michelle uses the benefits of her daily yoga practice to balance and maintain a busy lifestyle, running a business, and raising three children.
