Advanced Iyengar Yoga Sequence in a studio near you

Our General/Advanced classes serve as a hub for individuals deeply engaged in their yoga journey, catering to those developing their headstands and shoulderstands and experienced practitioners with a substantial yoga background or those who are ready for more of a challenge. These sessions encompass guided classes and led practices to guide students to work with more perception and subtlety. The content explores the intricacies of intermediate to advanced yoga, presenting a platform for further refinement and deepening the practice.

Intermediate to Advanced Yoga

At our studio, we pride ourselves on a faculty of highly experienced teachers who have devoted numerous years to the art of Iyengar yoga. These dedicated instructors have immersed themselves in the practice and passed rigorous examinations, earning their certification to teach within the Iyengar system. Classes are structured at various times throughout the week and meticulously organised to ensure accessibility for as many enthusiasts as possible. Our term schedules are strategically planned, aligning closely with school terms to facilitate ease of participation.

Our General/Advanced sessions cater to practitioners wanting to go a little further and can be a pre-cursor to teacher training. These classes go beyond the basics, delving deeper into the intricacies of intermediate to advanced yoga practices. Experienced teachers lead these sessions and offer an opportunity for further refinement and exploration of one’s yoga journey.

The extra time in the 2 hour Advanced classes allow us to explore asanas in more depth, with plenty of time for active asanas and restorative work. Linda has been teaching for 32 years, learning in India from the Iyengar family and in Sydney from Pixie Lillas and Peter Thomson. All teachers have dedicated themselves to the principles and practices of Iyengar yoga for numerous years. Certified Iyengar Yoga teachers undergo demanding examinations to earn their accreditation to teach within the Iyengar system. Sessions are meticulously scheduled at diverse times, allowing enthusiasts to choose sessions that seamlessly fit their routines. Our term times are loosely planned around school terms, making our offerings accessible and convenient for practitioners of all backgrounds and schedules.
