I’ve always wanted to take everyone to Great Keppel Island for a yoga retreat, and in 2026 we’re doing it! We’ll stay at Keppel Lodge.
The house sleeps a maximum of 13 so get in early to secure your place.
Practising yoga on consecutive days allows our bodies to open and soften. We’ll do three yoga classes a day – one pranayama class in the morning, an active asana class and a restorative and inversion class in the afternoon. There will be time for swimming and walking around the island. The sunsets are not to be missed!
Temperatures should be around 23 degrees on Great Keppel Island at this time of year. It can still get cool at night so bring some warm clothes.
Accommodation is shared. Room 1 has 3 beds, Rooms 2 and 3 have 4 beds and Room 4 has 2 beds. If you’re coming with friends you can stay together.
Rockhampton is the nearest airport and we get to the island by ferry from Rosslyn Bay Harbour. These costs are not included. However we can coordinate and organise to travel from the airport together to make costs cheaper. Parking is free at Rosslyn Bay Harbour if you’re driving and need to leave your car. There are also affordable options at Rosslyn Bay Harbour of you want to stay there the night before catching the ferry to Great Keppel Island.
The first class will be on Friday afternoon at 4pm when everyone has arrived.

Hi Linda,
A friend and I are interested in this retreat is the 3 bedroom accomodation still available?
Also what level retreat is this generally?
We are both teachers.
Kind regards
Alicia
Hi Alicia,
There are 2 places left for this retreat, sharing with 2 others in Room 3. It is a more advanced level retreat, with some advanced practitioners and teachers coming. There are also a couple who are not so advanced but they long-term Iyengar students. It would be lovely to have you join us. Cheers, Linda
Hi Alicia,
I’m sorry there’s only one place left now.
Warm Regards,
Linda
